Mark Deschenes career has spanned nearly all classes of commercial development including lab space, office, retail, residential, and hotel assets. Primarily responsible for overseeing the company’s development, property and asset management, financing and legal responsibilities, Mark brings a depth of experience to the company whether acquiring existing property, renovating and repurposing existing buildings, new ground up construction, or dispositions. This experience is also brought to developing and implementing financial strategies, and strategic planning.

Mark began his career with Boylston Properties in 1998-2001 and returned as a Principal in 2006, overseeing all development and project management. In 2022, Mark was named President of Boylston Properties.

Mark has been instrumental in nearly all of Boylston Properties’ development projects, including, most recently, the design, execution and completion of the Arsenal Yards project and all its mixed-use properties including three life science properties: 200 Arsenal Yards Blvd, 100 Forge, and 500 Forge.

Prior to Boylston Properties, Mark worked as a licensed structural engineer, as well as in construction project management. Mark is a licensed structural engineer with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an MBA from Babson College.
